NIGHTBIRD MEANING
There were three women who have inspired me throughout my life. My mother, Donna Yvette Jordan, she was such a bright light. She encouraged, challenged, supported, disciplined, and loved me unconditionally. She accepted every adventurous job, great plans, even bad plans, and always wanted me to follow my true dreams. She made me believe that I was able to accomplish anything that I worked toward. On February 19, 2009, she passed from an extremely long fought battle Sarcoidosis. Her favorite animal was an owl and her home was adorned with many trinkets of this night-bird.
My grandmother, Mary Cole Jordan, was the best cook I’ve known to this day. She ensured that my belly was always full. She had an interesting way of playing games; especially spades (she always had to win). She was always there when you thought no one else was. My grandmother left this earth on May 15, 1999.
On June 8, 2021 Jane Kristen Marczewski known as NIGHTBIRDE performed this song, "It’s OK" on AGT and got a GOLDEN BUZZER! Shortly after the show, Marczewski took a turn for the worst with her fight against breast cancer and had to drop out of the show. Jane, a 31-year-old inspiration was sadly taken on February 19, 2022, (Ironically, she passed away the same day my mother did in 2009).
With the combination of these three incredible women, I believed that this name and logo honors each of these women and the continued fight against cancer. The black woman represent my mother and grandmother and the endless love, strength, and support they showed me. Without taking anything away from Jane, we honor her with the business name Nightbird Installers.
Jane’s song, "It’s OK" is a remembrance of how my life’s journey has been but realize that I’m not perfect; no one is. I feel like I’ve been LOST a majority of my life – AND IT’S OK. But, when I’m working events, I don’t feel LOST, more like ALIVE.
